Community. It’s more than just a word, it’s a mindset. It’s not only at the core of who I am, it’s at the core of who we all are at Ambank Company. It’s what we’re passionate about.
The importance of supporting our local communities stems from American State Bank being a community bank. This means we’re locally owned and operated, and we make a point to be deeply rooted in the communities that we serve. It’s the reason why Community is one of our core values.
Being involved in the community is a reputation we hold to a high priority. I’ve personally served on city council or as mayor in Sioux Center over the past 45 years, and many other employees from all levels volunteer around the community for schools, non-profits, and other local organizations. This past year, our employees have dedicated over 1,200 volunteer hours to our local communities. Not only do we know and have the personal satisfaction that we can make a real difference, but the people we meet make a difference in our lives.
I am very proud of Ambank’s history of community involvement and am grateful to all our employees who have taken the time and opportunity, no matter the role, to serve the community.
